He loved climbing and as an alpinist had climbed Everest in 2003 — the youngest to do so at the time. Jess possessed a multi-faceted ability which found him at home on ice, big walls and multi day expeditions. But he also kept a close grip on his “real” home, Spokane, WA. Jess Roskelley was a lifelong resident of the Spokane area and could often be found donating his time to local climbing clubs, events, and even giving away his past season gear to Spokane’s homeless community.
